Set Top Boxes

Starting with the Fall Semester of the 09-10 school year, our "Entertainment Television" package, and is offered in the residence halls, and apartments, will be switching to Digital. This means that in order to watch this programming, you will need one of the following:

• A Television capable of receiving Digital Programming. Most newer televisions (purchased in the last three years) have this capability
• A Set-Top-Box that is capable of receiving ClearQAM or QAM signals. You can provide your own ClearQAM capable device, or use one of our certified devices :
  • Certified devices include:
    • K-World SA290-Q LE -- Instructions on how to set this device up
    • K-World SA290-Q DVI -- Instructions on how to set this device up
    • JVC DRMV100B DVD/VCR Combo (WIth integrated tuner)
  • These devices are available at MSU Stores, located on Service Road. They are also available at select national resellers.
• A Set-Top-Box and programming package from Comcast. Any person with a package purchased directly from Comcast will have the equipment necessary to watch this programming.
